What is Cubic Zirconia (CZ)?

Cubic zirconia is a high-quality, man-made gemstone material. To the untrained eye it is indistinguishable from natural gemstones. It is denser than diamond, and very hard — harder actually than most natural gemstones, other than diamond itself. As a result, it is very durable and scratch-resistant.

One major advantage of CZ gemstones is that they are optically flawless. Optically flawless natural gemstones are extremely rare, so CZ gemstones are actually more beautiful than most natural gems! Cubic zirconia is made colorless, to simulate diamond, but is also made in a variety of colors to simulate other natural gemstones.
