In 19th century Celtic history, these 36-ounce mugs were attached with a leather strap to one’s belt for easy access to merrimaking wherever they went! Our leather belt straps are optional on this lightweight, Statesmetal™ mug, but we guarantee the merrimaking is never too far away with these fashionable mugs-turned-accessories. Made of a lead-free alloy called Statesmetal™, these mugs resemble pewter but are cast in a one-of-a-kind sand mold, making each of these pieces unique. Keeps your drink nice and cold, whether you use this on-the-go or at home. Make sure you hand wash these mugs as they’re not dishwasher safe. Wear or enjoy this piece of Celtic drinking history!

I only give this a very good instead of an excellent because it is not very well finished. The joining seams from casting are not smoothed out very well. Otherwise it is very nice.

My Strap Handle Mug is intended for water only. So, much of the instructions didn’t apply, But I did use a soft sponge with soap and warm water to clean any factory residue. Very nice and useful.
