It’s hard to like a safety sgian dubh, but it’s a nice option to have if you know you are going to be somewhere that the real thing isn’t allowed. Made in Scotland. Made in one piece in black plastic with a metal pommel on top. The handle resembles a thistle. A chain of thistles decorate the chrome-plated pommel. A beautiful, central thistle sits on the top of the fake sheath. An intricate Celtic knot decorates the tip of the sheath. We include one of these sgian dubhs in each full formal rental package! (It’s worth mentioning that drunken groomsmen are less likely to get themselves into trouble if you have given them fakes!)

Our Pewter Thistle Clan Crest Sgian Dubh is an upgraded version of our standard clan crest sgian dubh.  Scottish crafters make it with higher quality materials than the standard sgian dubh, and they inlay the clan crest into the handle. You also have the choice of 6 colors for the stone, rather than the one color for the standard sgian dubh.
