The Homespun Wool Blend Earasaid (also spelled erasaid or arisaid) is essentially the female version of the Great Kilt. To wear it traditionally, the Earasaid goes over a dress. Wear it long or short to keep warm or as a stylish accent to a Highland dress ensemble. You can pleat it yourself following the instructions we will include or order it custom-made with our Cheater Pleats™. Choose from over 100 tartans and wear your heritage with style! Snags, pulls, holes, and other blemishes are common in Homespun Tartan. Because it is hand-woven, these flaws are a natural part of its character. Giving this tartan its hand-made, artisanal character. Homespun is approximately a 12 oz. fabric, but it feels thicker due to its looser weave.

    It’s so hard to find earasiads anywhere this was such a good find. The quality is amazing I can tell it will keep my warm in the colder seasons, and the shipping was very fast. I ordered the largest size and am 5’6 if you’re my size I would actually recommend one of the smaller sizes so it wraps better. I also appreciate the amount of tartans you can choose from, I can never find the Davidson tartan anywhere so this was such a reward .

    This is unbelievably nice for the price. It is usable and looks great. However the width of the fabric is no where hear wide enough to fit from over-the-head to ankle length unless it is for a 4-foot tall person. If we had ordered more yardage, and turned it sideways it would, but then there is no way it could meet in the front with even a couple of pleats. Given the great price, I am not disappointed – we will use t. But don’t expect it to be like the picture.
