This cast pewter belt buckle finishes off any Celtic outfit. It is made in the USA by expert craftsman Don McKee, an artist world-famous for his metal works, for guaranteed authenticity.

The image of the Celtic knot is a symbol that Irish monks would draw on their illuminated manuscripts to honor the eternal soul. The St. Andrew’s cross (or, saltire) historically served as an identifying mark for Scots, along with the image of the rampant lion, to mark them as powerful and independent. This buckle blends both of those elements to showcase your pride in this powerful heritage!

Intricate Saltire Knot Waistplate: A Don McKee Sculpture

    MJ Triola

A superb work of art to wear with your kilt. Incredibly intricate knotwork with very, very fine detail literally sculpted by a master artist. I have this waistplate and a unicorn rampant plaid brooch by Don McKee and both are fantastic. NOTE: This is a WAISTPLATE, NOT a buckle. It hooks like a traditional kilt buckle BUT it is HUGE, around 3 in high by 4 or 5 in across. A great collector’s item.
