Hostess kilted skirt made to order in Scotland from poly/viscose tartan. Whether your allergic to wool or just need to save some money, these are a great option. Hostess kilts have 0.75″ buckles and straps. This full length skirt resembles those of a luxury brand based in London. It’s more affordable, and the quality is just as great!

Measuring Instructions: (measure in inches)
Waist — Measure comfortably around your desired waist. This could be at the navel, which is traditional, or anywhere else you want. For example, our daughter Kaurina prefers to wear her skirts at the currently popular “hip waist”. We really don’t recommend this though, for a Hostess Kilt.
Hip — Measure around your hips at the fullest point.
Length — Measure from your desired waist to your desired length.

The deep pleats use up more fabric, making the skirt a little warmer. Light weight tartan is cooler and more breathable than medium weight. This makes it comfortable to wear at summer events. However, medium weight tartan holds a crisper pleat, and is more durable than light weight tartan.

The skirt was a very good fit for my wife. The people at Celtic Croft / Kilts-n-Stuff were very helpful with getting the skirt to us in time for our daughter’s wedding. We order the matching sash at the same time but are still waiting that delivery.
