St. Bridget’s Cross Pewter Brooch
Honor this patron saint of Ireland by wearing the cross she is believed to have designed. According to legend, she was sitting at the bedside of an ailing Celtic chieftain. To pass the time, she fashioned a cross out of the thrushes on the floor. A dialogue ensued, and before long, the chieftain converted to Christianity. This antiqued pewter brooch with a Celtic knot border, measuring 2 inches wide, is modeled on that legendary cross. Its pin back means you can wear it almost anywhere! Who doesn’t want to celebrate an Irishwoman who is said to have turned bathwater into beer?
