Description
Disc brooches were a popular style of clothing fastener with both Saxons and Vikings. They were worn by both men and women. While men usually wore them singly to fasten the front of a tunic, women almost always wore them in pairs to fasten a dress at the shoulders. They were elaborately decorated with knot work or other designs and often set with stones. We incorporated both of those qualities into this brooch to celebrate Saxon art and culture.
