Curious about your family's Scottish roots? Let us do the research for you with our Family Tartan Research Service! Just tell us the family name(s) you're interested in, and we’ll identify your clan’s tartan—or multiple tartans, if applicable. Some clans have a single, well-known tartan, while others have several variations to choose from.
Along with your tartan information, we’ll provide a brief summary of your family’s origin, history, and clan background. Plus, we’ll send you up to four tartan swatches of your choice for the name you’ve submitted.
If we have your swatches in stock, we’ll ship them right away. If not, we’ll order directly from our Scottish weavers. Please note that swatches ordered from Scotland can take 6–12 weeks for delivery due to weaver processing times—but we’ll do everything we can to get them to you as quickly as possible.
