Custom-made in the USA using medium weight (12/13 oz.) premium wool tartan woven in Scotland, including rare and historic patterns from the Old and Rare Collection, this kilt combines elegance with function. It's built for daily wear, with crisp pleats and less bulk than a Great Kilt. Customize with optional Cheater Pleats™ for effortless dressing.
The Ancient Kilt is essentially a Phillabeg with 2–3 extra yards of tartan, forming a shoulder-draped sash once pleated. Made from single-width tartan (25–30 inches), it lacks the excess fabric above the belt, giving you comfort and freedom of movement.
