I am 6'4'' with long arms so I ordered the Rustic Highland Kilt Shirt in Size L. I am muscular but have slim waist and hips. The fit of the shirt is good for my arms and chest, but with a 34 waist I'm swimming in the shirt. Fortunately there is a seam on each side running down from the arm pits. I reckon I will pay another $20 or so for local tailoring. The shirt is all cotton. I like the pleated effect at the chest and sleeve cuffs. Definitely has the rustic look for attendance at the Highland Games. I am pleased.

Bought the large and the general fit is fine. The one problem is that I can hardly button the cuffs. I have relatively narrow wrists but still too tight to button. There doesn't seem to be enough material in the cuff to move the button either. Not sure what I'll do, maybe look for a buttonhole extension.

This shirt met all my expectations. It is the only shirt I found that was authentic as rustic highland clothing. It is made of a cotton muslin cloth that is not bleached white. It does NOT have modern metal eyelets at the opening below the front of the neck. I was skeptical about the suggestion to order one-size-up from your normal t-shirt size. However, I did order one-size-up, and was not disappointed. Ordering one-size-up gave a good fit to the shoulder measurements. However, it also provided a very generous body measurement. Some persons may be fine with the roomy body of the a one-size-up shirt. Personally, I did not care for it -- so I had the shirt taken in at each side. There are seams on each side of the shirt's body, so this simple modification is easily done. I also had the sleeves shortened because I have shorter arms than the one-size-up shirt provided. I am so please with this shirt that I have ordered another one - principally because it is so hard to find an authentic rustic highland shirt like this one.

You know how sometimes you order something because it looks perfect in the photos, but you get it and it doesn't look the same? That's such a disappointing feeling. You won't have that feeling with this shirt. It looks like the photos. It is comfortable and roomy ... except ... the design of the shirt makes the sleeve openings feel as though they are binding. It is not tight, it's just that when you move in certain ways, it feels like it is going to bind up. I enthusiastically recommend this shirt.
