As featured in OUTLANDER: The Series, this is the official tartan, designed with painstaking historical accuracy by the very same Scottish weavers who supplied the show.
Inspired by the Fraser Hunting Weathered Tartan, the design uses natural dyes that reflect the plant-based colors available to Highlanders in the 1700s. The result is a rugged mix of browns and greys, perfect for blending into the Highland landscape during hunting or travel. The fabric features a hopsack plain weave and has been washed to achieve a rustic, authentic texture—true to what would have been worn in the period.
Crafted from 100% premium wool, this medium weight (12oz) fabric is ideal for a wide range of historical or heritage projects—great kilts, earasaids, shawls, or custom garments for cosplay and reenactment. At 60 inches wide, it's also efficient for fabric use.
