Description
Premium Wool Tartan Glengarry
The Glengarry bonnet was worn at least as early as 1812. The cap is sewn with ribbons hanging down the back. A piper once told me that the ribbons are not meant to be tied, as the glengarry is a military style hat and should not show the status of your relationship. He also said that the ribbons help wick the rain down the back of your coat or bandsmen cape instead of down the back of your neck. This cap can be folded flat and stuck into a pocket or waistband.
If you are unsure of your hat size, please measure your head and consult the chart below. Use a soft, flexible tape measure and measure around your head just above the ears. Measure comfortably, not too tight.
