This 15/16oz. tartan is made from 100% premium wool and woven at approximately 28–30 inches wide (single width), ideal for creating modern-style formal or casual kilts.
Heavy weight tartan is the preferred choice for pipe bands, reenactors, and kilt wearers who require a garment that will hold its shape and stand up to regular wear. With around 60 tartans available, you can find the perfect pattern for your clan or occasion.
Please note: this fabric is designed specifically for modern kilts. For historical garments like ancient kilts or phillabegs, lighter-weight fabric is recommended.
